If you're in the mood for some delicious poutine, Mean Poutine is the place to go. They have great fries, and the cheese and... gravy are very tasty. However, the portions are small, and you have to pay for extra toppings and even sauce. The wait time isalso quite long. Read more

Mean poutine is.... well it's gone. This place used to be the go to for the best poutine outside of Montreal. I went there last... night and what I got was not what I'm used to. I'm sorry to say that the quality has diminished to a point of not beingrecognizable to the brand. I will say the fries were crispy, but the gravy was nothing less than a lumpy, dark brown, out of thepackage, straight up mess. I got the original. It was NOT GOOD. Im sorry guys, but I've been coming to this place since I movedto this city 12 years ago...things have definitely changed. Went to my favourite poutine place downtown to be greeted with a scowl when I politely said hello to the lady that was working... on something facing the back. She turned around and gave me a bad look and turned back around to finish what she was doing.Turned back around and asked what I wanted and asked for the chilli poutine which she explained they were out of which was noproblem at all so I asked for the Philly cheese steak. She prompted the card machine I payed and tipped. Didn?t think anythingof the interaction, I know we all have our bad days but when I got home and opened the poutine it looked like it was flyingaround in one of the jets on top gun.
