Lovely place for steak! We has the breaded cauliflower that was perfectly roasted to sweetness and tuna tartare as started. The... homemade potato chips was perfectly crisped. The main entree was a 55 ounce Tomahawk steak, served medium rare, with fingerlingroasted potatoes, sweet peppers and brussels sprouts. Ask for extra side of chimmichura sauce. Street parking for 2hrs orparking garage nearby. If you are chilled they bring you a warm blanket. Read more

We came for happy hour to the roof on a Thursday. Most of the tables were full but we were able to get a spot. I always love the... view up at the Roof because you can see the Fairmont from there. We ordered the Wagyu beef carpaccio, the ahi tuna tartare andthe oysters. For cocktails we got the sangria and Prosecco. The Wagyu beef carpaccio was lacking in beef flavour. It was cut alittle too thin for me to pick up (just a snag). The tuna tartare was not bad. Very fresh tasting and I liked the addition ofthe pineapple. The chip went perfectly with the tuna tartare. The oysters were pretty standard. The sangria was delicious asusual. Overall for happy hour they have a pretty big menu compared to other restaurants. They have a wide variety and theportions are pretty big. The service was super friendly and helpful when it comes to making decisions on the menu. This is theplace to be if you are looking for a snack and drinks with friends and a nice location but not for food Read more

We went to Black & Blue on a whim - we had an old gift card we need to use from Glowbal, it was a sunny day in Vancouver, I had... heard great things about The Roof - so why not go see? We were greeted by a lovely team of hosts who said they could add us tothe wait list, and us, being oblivious (we did not realize the dinning room wasn?t open yet), asked if we could sit at the barand wait. They didn?t even flinch, the bartender allowed us to sit and hangout while he prepped, within 45 mins they somehow hada table for us upstairs and boy am I glad they did! We very much so took advantage of the happy hour ordering margarita?s (onthe rocks and so yummy), sangria (could actually taste the wine which was a refreshing change), and then for food we orderedsome fresh oysters (we?re obsessed, sue us), the crispy calamari (marinated in buttermilk and spices to make it so tender andflavourful), the ahi tuna tartar (each bite was to be savoured as it was a melody in your mouth), the Quattro formaggioflatbread (not our favourite but still so tasty), and the prawn cocktail (could have passed on this, was good but tuna andcalamari were just exceptional comparatively). All in all it was a fantastic visit, the service was amazing, and the atmospherewas a 10/10. If you?re ever downtown looking for a happy hour spot, this is it. Read more

Visited the Roof last night for dinner and loved the the space, but that?s about it. The service was friendly, but not as great... as other restaurants at similar price points. Same thing with the food; the Tomahawk was good but the sides were meh. Gotham andVictor have better steak and sides. The risotto was actually terrible; undercooked rice and no flavour. Read more

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here this weekend. The service and atmosphere was amazing, and the food was pretty... good! but nothing super inventive. The tenderloin was cooked perfectly, and the sauces complimented the cut. The antipasto platewas well-portioned for the price and had a nice variety of cheese, and the halibut was flakey with a chimichurri that had a goodkick at the end. I?ll definitely be back to try their happy hour Read more
