I was in Santa Monica are still after a race I participated in and looked for a place to eat that was pet friendly since I had... my dog with me. We landed at this place since it wasn't very busy as other places closer to the beach. Ordering method wasstandard ever since covid. Scan qr code order by phone. My dog was given a little treat and some water which is great since theyclaimed to be pet friendly. We sat at a table that was very unstable it literally tilted I'm every direction. Giving theimpression that everything on it was going to fall over. Food prices were ok, food itself was very bland no real flavor. I hadthe Standard' Egg & Bacon Croissant it comes with around 6 wide cut fries. I thought of ordering a beer but their selection onlyconsists of 2 beers I think so that was a no. Over all not very impressed by this place or the food although all of thefooditems are pretty hearty . I also realize that they are adding a 3%CA Healthcare surcharge to your bill. Either otherrestaurants don't put this on their receipts or I have just not noticed it until now. Biggest pet peeve about a restaurant of mine is when someone can’t answer the phone so instead they are going to get a google... review. If it’s $50 including tip for avocado toast, a breakfast entree that’s a sandwich and side of potatoes, a croissantand a coffee then please make sure it includes everything. I walked there and when I got back to my place I realized thepotatoes weren’t there. I called twice to talk to a manager so that they could adjust my bill since they forgot the side andno one answered. The food was decent, bread kind of hard to bite into, I wouldn’t spend too much money here. The vibe is cuteand the iced mocha was good. However, there’s a place next door with faster service and just as good of food and they answertheir phones. Read more
Had a lovely breakfast at Bluestone Lane Venice. The outside dining area is well maintained and clean. The service was perfect... and very friendly. The food was very solid. You order via a QR code at the table, which is very efficient and allows you toleave as soon as you’re finished eating. Order the hot chocolate if May Gray/June Gloom gets you down.
