Hidden Gem. Very cozy with a great selection of food. We were a large group and was well served 1. Ordered oysters and they... looked amazing and you get your money's worth. 2. Ordered the burger or the day and the person had no complaints 3. Ordered thechicken wrap and it was tasty and huge! 4. Ordered the grilled chicken panini sandwich. The chicken was juicy and the sauce wasamazing according to the person who ordered. 5. I ordered a personalized pizza with pepperoni, bacon and goat cheese. It wasamazing, they didn't skimp out of the ingredients. They did make an error with the pizza but rectified the situationquickly. We go here all the time. This place has an excellent menu, a table d'hôte that changes everytime. And it never... disappoints! Drinks are great, and they're super accommodating. Best part though is the service! What a great team! Ben andNathalie are the stars, but everyone really offer outstanding service. Garage Café is one of those gems in Verdun! Read more
The staff was very friendly, specially the guy whose wife is about to deliver. Food was delicious and $$$$.
Unfortunately I have gotten bad service the times I?ve been, which is a shame because the food is really good :(! It takes a lot... for me to feel the need to write a review, so that already says a lot. Just was a really unwelcoming experience generally. Myserver was Roxanne. Very little was said to me while being served, which is fine. I don?t need to go into small talk with myserver. Except that my bill and drink were both just about slammed onto my table. And this was when the restaurant wasn?t evenbusy, so there was seriously no need to be so hasty and uncaring with the service? I was left waiting over 10 minutes to pay,when other tables (that had arrived before me and had finished eating after I had) were quickly able to pay. I actually had toget up and find my server (who I found just chatting with someone else?) in order to finally pay. There was really no excuse forthis. The only explanation that I can think of for this happening is that I?m an anglophone and other tables were francophone,but this is still no excuse! I am not at the level to where I feel comfortable being understood speaking French in a restaurant(loud) setting, but I still understand the language. And her tone of voice and choice of words when speaking to me versus othertables was a world apart. If you need patrons to speak in french to you, simply ask. Service should be equal no matter thelanguage, period, but this makes even less sense when you consider that we are in Verdun- one of the most anglophoneboroughs! Do better, seriously!
