We've been going here for over 30 years! Came for the Fish Fry, and that's what's kept us coming back all these decades. We... don't even order fish anywhere else, we just know it won't stack up to the Stein Haus! Plus, our wonderful server Jean hasalways taken good care of us. Try this gem of a place, you won't be disappointed! Read more

First time at Stein Haus, and fir a small town bar restaurant it had great Atmosphere and was very clean, even the ceiling fans... were spotless. I was part of a large group, around 10 or more of us, and there was over the top amazing service, and foodarrived quickly and my order was 5 star, I ordered Appetizer mini tacos and the Chicken drumlets basket came with fries & Garlic toast. I would say I believe everyone in my group also seemed happy with the restaurant, service, & thier food. Woulddefinitely recommend for visit Read more

Four of us ate here for a Friday fish fry during Lent. We arrived just before 4:30 and found it very busy - something I took as... a good sign. We waited in line for about 20-30 minutes. I counted 4 servers plus a bartender, and they were all very busy. Itwas nice and noisy, what with all the apparently happy diners talking together. Once seated, we had to wait another 10 minutesto place a drink order but, given how busy it was, the wait wasn?t unreasonable. All four of us ordered the fish, with the onlyvariance amongst us being our potato choice. One friend had fries, which she felt were not hot enough. Her husband had thehash browns, which he enjoyed and said were done to his liking. My wife had the baked potato, and she liked it. I had thetots, and they were good. The meals also came with garlic toast, coleslaw and baked potatoes, however the one nit I have aboutthem is that they are served in one smallish bowl which is meant to pass around the table, meaning each of us was able to haveonly about a large tablespoon-sized portion of the slaw or beans. They did bring another serving of each upon request, and weall liked the beans and slaw, somewhat surprising to me because I don?t really care for coleslaw at 95% of the places it?soffered. Here, it was very good. The first round of fish was a little warmer than lukewarm, but it was very good and had theperfect amount of delicious batter. The second round of fish was nice and hot. We all agreed that we?d eat here again. Read more

Small town bar. A little confusing as there are 3 doors and no clear hostess stand. The staff was friendly. We were there for... the fish fry, the batter was good although their fryer was a little hot. They were very very busy and so it took a while to getour table and our food. The table itself was clean but wonky, it tilted back forth, the booths tilted back and forth. The personsitting behind me would push on my seat back, and I'd have to push back so as not to be against the wonky table. The restaurantwas clean and they turn tables quickly. A little expensive for cheap beer but thats inflation for ya. Read more
