Our bill was $13.50 and they couldn't even take a $20. We gave them $15 and she had to take change out of the tip jar. The shop... has such great potential to be a good vibes café and I just really hope they make some changes to pick it up a little bit. I'msure they could be a great place if they tried. Read more
If you are visiting Fisherman's Wharf in Victoria and would like a lovely place to have breakfast or a light lunch, just walk... across the park above the wharf and you will come to Imagine Café on Erie Street. The café serves organic food and offers 'an experiential & transformative learning space designed as an internship business program for young adults, all cultures & allabilities.', which we thought was wonderful. We went there for breakfast and had their French Toast with whipped cream (hey wewere on vacation!), which was delicious but had a tough time making that selection because we were so tempted by their selectionof pastries (croissants, danishes, etc.). Finally we decided that in addition to our breakfast we would buy scones forbreakfast the next day (and they were wonderful too!). We visited just as it opened at 10:00 and there was a steady stream ofpatrons the whole time we were there so it was terrific to see this initiative get such support from locals as well as tourists. Some people were just coming in for lattes, cappuccinos, coffee and tea, but the tables also filled up with other breakfasteaters. They were just starting to fill their display case with salads, quiche, etc. for their lunch offerings when we left. At one end of the eating area is a pizza oven and eating bar. In addition to the inside tables, there are some patio tables outfront and along the side of the building from which you can see the park and the city skyline. Imagine the world was a better, kinder, more responsible place, that is this cafe! Not only was my latte excellent, I was also... revitalized by seeing a business that is run in such a smart, ethical, and responsible way!! This is a locally owned andoperated business that's walking the walk, for social, environmental, and economic sustainability. They give back and lift upmembers of their community with training and mentoring! A cute interior and an absolutely stunning cappuccino that Marco Timpano would approve of. I had a bannock with compote that was... a delicious mix of sweet and savory. Choices of food are sufficient, though limited for GF options. As a wheat-eater I?lldefinitely be returning, as will my partner for the coffee (and latte art!) Read more

Aesthetically the place is amazing, cute indoor and patio.
