The food was good but the customer service was lacking. It's rare for me to wright even a slightly negative review however the person taking the order would let us sit in the restaurant even though it was empty and there was a wait to be seated sign. And he got upset that the kids who were behaved were standing in the lobby waiting to take out the food. Pretty unfriendly.
This is my favourite sushi place ever! It?s not an extensive menu, some special rolls, but what they do they do very well, and very reasonably priced. The tuna cowboy roll is absolute fav. I do takeout there usually once a week!
Only take out, no dine in. Which we didn?t mind, but it was the tuna sashimi kind of disappointing?it wasn?t defrost properly so it was still kind of frozen in the middle. Good price, though, and a huge range of menu items. Their maki and rolls were okay.
Best sushi on the island! Go here if you want quality and consistency. I've been going here for years now and I've never been disappointed.
9.5/10 taste, 9.5/10 price. Best sushi in Victoria now that Chikara sushi is closed.
Loved it.... It was ready exactly when I arrived for pick up. Fantastic fresh sushi. I got one of the platters and a few extra pieces. Also really enjoyed the Miso Soup. High recommend..
Still only take out, although restaurants have allowed diners for nearly nearly 3 weeks now. Staff was unpleasant to the point where I'd say you probably shouldn't run a restaurant or work in the service industry if you are that unfriendly. But hey, Sushi is the main objective. I've had worse. It is relatively inexpensive compared to other sushi places nearby. The fish was reasonable. Rice was okay, fresh and warm, maybe a tad starchy, but at least it wasn't dry. Overall, 1 star for service, 3 stars for the sushi, 1 star for presentation (all the rolls were just stacked on top of one another - nothing like what I would have expected from seeing other photos posted). If you want Average take out sushi at a reasonably price, this works. If you want outstanding sushi and good service, try someplace else. Update: So are you saying I would have gotten better service if I spent more than $100?
Went for lunch. Very cozy place friendly owners. We had the sushi combo and lunch combo A. Sushi was fresh and good portions. Price was very reasonable as well. Would go back for sure.
