Stopped here for a very good lunch! We were in good hands with our waiter, Steven. My friend and I both enjoyed the Chicken... Fried Steak special. I also tried their Spicy Pumpkin Soup, and while it was pretty good, I wish they labeled it as CurriedPumpkin instead, as it had a very strong curry taste to it. After moving back to Victoria I was looking forward to eating at Huvar?s again! The staff seemed overwhelmed. I had to ask for a... server to come to my table. The food took forever to come. When it did, the ?kettle? chips that were supposed to come with mysandwich were obviously Lay?s potato chips. The cheese in my ham and Swiss sandwich was processed American cheese. They also didnot have bread pudding which was still on the menu and what I was most looking forward to eating. The waitress said the chefsimply didn?t have time to make it.
