Don?t get me wrong, I love iHop. I had to give it one star right now though so this review doesn?t go unnoticed. It is Sunday... and it is busy. Understandable. I?ve been waiting in line with a bunch of other people for almost an hour now. As a former storemanager I am not okay with the way they are running this place. I see workers standing around while there are at least 5 tablesopen, they just need to be cleaned. So this is why they get one star. The employees standing around should be cleaning thosetables to keep the line moving. I watched them not wipe these tables for the past thirty minutes while there are three workersstanding around. It doesn?t matter if it?s not in the job description or you?re a manager. It?s simple, just clean the table andkeep the line moving. We came to this location after attending a concert in the area. We sat down quickly and ordered our food within 10 minutes. ... The food should have taken about 10 minutes to prepare, but between several times we were assured that our order would be outsoon, we sat for about 50 minutes and still had not gotten our food. Somehow they prepared our food to go but never told andconstantly assured us that our order would be ready soon. We left a tip and left. I?m just passing through Victoria, so issues in other reviews may indeed be normal ones, but i wouldn?t know. Our service this... morning was quick and excellent. The food was pretty good and came out as fresh as possible. My waitress let me know they didn?thave the correct sauces for tres leches pancakes this morning, but immediately offered to put in a new order for me so that Icould receive something I enjoyed eating. I didn?t mind too much and ate the pancakes anyway. They were good ¯_(?)_/¯ Thislocation would definitely benefit from a remodel, especially in the bathrooms, but I recognize that might be an issue for thebigger corporation that cannot be handled at the level of this individual location.
