Absolutely loved this place! Fried chicken burger and lobster roll (mayo base) were both delicious! They were also giving out... chowder samples, it was really good as well. They do get busy, and for a good reason. We Can?t wait to come back! Read more

I was so disappointed! I took a bite and the overwhelming fishy flavor almost made me gag. The lobster itself wasn?t that fishy,... but the red ?butter? it was swimming in and soaking the bun with was SO fishy. Almost like they reuse the butter between batchedof lobster, for who knows how long with how bad it smelled. I couldn?t eat the lobster roll and the French fries were a bit dryand just okay. The second star is for the decently tasty Whoopie Pie. Read more

The 2 stars that are given is strictly for the staff they were GREAT and very attentive. I would of given one star for the food... and price -There was a gentleman coming around to all of the tables to be sure that we didn't need anything and very nice, therewas a bit of a line by opened up the 2nd window to take care of it. The food came out relatively quick. And the decor was greatit took me back to New England with newspaper clippings up and the Nautical decor. -The Food was Over Priced for the qualitygiven, The food we ate- -1 Lobster Rolls. Just buttered lobster on a 4-5 inch roll. found pieces of shell in every bite, theroll that it was on was very good! - 1 Seafood Chowdah. A soup with "shrimp", crab, fish, and potatoes. The shrimp was cooked tooblivion where you could of ate it through a straw, the crab was good for any that you could find, fish was a sad mush on thebottom of the bowl. Living in new england my whole life the broth wasn't a consistency of a typical new england "Chowdah" itneeded more of a thickener and more flavor/ ANY flavor. -the Red Hotdog. I mean it was just settled in a soft buttered andmildly chared on the grille bun you can't really make any mistake there and it was cooked good I think.... it brought me back towhen I visited Maine amd had them there, it was good. -Fries and Cole slaw Both tasted good. THIS was the ONLY THING WE ATE allday. Later on that day my wife and I needed to spend a few hours back at Home with our stomachs hurting and spending time in the"room of regret". Not a great way to spend a Saturday. Read more

Cute spot with reasonably price and unique offerings on the menu. We ordered traditional poutine and lobster poutine. The... lobster poutine was salty but delicious with chunks of lobster meat. The poutine was made with shredded mozzarella and not thetraditional cheese curds with a very salty brown gravy. Read more

Wayne and his team are awesome. The only thing better than these amazing people is the food. We had a party of 21 and he set up... tables for us outside and offered us table service. I have to tell you about the lobster rolls and whole belly fried clams. Ihad high expectations and they were absolutely exceeded. My sons videoed me having a foodgasm as I bit into the Maine stylelobster rolls. It's a funny video that I wish I could post here. My eyes rolled into the back of my head and my body wanted todance with joy. The whole belly fried clams were also very good. The fried haddock fish and chips were also excellent. Picturedare the CT style lobster roll which was very good, but the Maine style was better. Also pictured is the haddock fish and chipsand the fried shrimp scallops and whole belly clams. I looked at about 20 restaurants that all had fried clam STRIPS, but onlyhere at A Bite of Maine was the signicantly superior whole belly fried clams. Strips, in my opinion are like fried rubber bands. To summarize my fantastic experience is Wayne and staff are awesome, Maine style lobster roll may cause you to have an orgasm, whole belly fried clams are amazing, and the haddock fish might have been a side of haddock, it was huge. All the prices werevery reasonable. Can I say more in this glowing review? YES GO THERE YOU WILL BE HAPPY! Read more
