Coming over to the States I definitely wanted to try and find some of the best BBQ places I could. Hands down out of all I've... tried so far, Redwood Smoke Shack is the best!!!!!! Their customer service is great and the food is so good, it's hard not toeat too much. Left in a food coma but ohhhh so satisfied. If you love your BBQ then this place is a must try. Read more
This place is great! The food is incredible, the service is extremely friendly and helpful, and the environment is very... comfortable. Went to the Nimmo Pkwy location. Not sure I?d return to this location . The staff was less than friendly. Not even a thank you... for coming in. Went to the Norfolk restaurant several times always great food & stellar customer service. These people need sometraining to work with the public. I was disappointed. Food was good though! Guess that?s the reason we went there. But afterspending $6O.00 for food, I would think they would be appreciative. Read more
I had seen there Norfolk location which is closer because we live in Hampton. my wife and I were out in Va beach found there... second shop. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. I ordered the brunt ends meal as did my wife. I mustsay that the brisket was very tender and some of the best we have had.The sides were also very good just as great as the meat. Ihad a side of beans they were very tasty and the only thing that would have made them better if that is possible would be alittle pulled pork mixed in. this would have been a meal all by itself. very thing was fantastic.My wife loved the coleslaw andthe red potato salad. Poor attention to detail. Placed a large order - The Professional - plus other items. Everything was packaged tightly together... such that reviewing everything was prohibitive; I made sure to ask if the sides were in the bag and the staff said yes. Forthese prices and the nerve to ask for a tip before filling the order I don't think I should have to unwrap everything at thecounter to make sure the order is correct/complete. Verydisappointing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ UPDATE: Unbelievable forHampton Roads - received a call from a senior operations manager very soon after making the review. She wanted to know whatcould be done to remedy the oversight. All I wanted was my original order but the Virginia Beach location was closed untilTuesday. SO, she offered to pick up the order from the Norfolk location and drive it personally to our residence in VirginiaBeach. Amazing. Not used to this kind of commitment to customer service in the Virginia Beach area. The gesture andprofessionalism are very much appreciated - very impressed.
