We drove about an hour and 15 minutes to come here for our 11th anniversary, and we were so blown away by our whole experience!... It was super easy to make a reservation online, they called us to confirm it the day of our dinner, and we were greeted (by avery friendly gentleman) with personalized menus that said ?Happy Anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. Lee? across the top - LOVE that! Wewere then given complimentary sparkling wine for a toast, which was completely unexpected. The food was absolutely incredible;we each did the 4-course tasting? and then some! We were so pleased with every dish, as well as the cocktail. Our server, Holly,was AMAZING - she made fantastic recommendations and the service was the best we?ve had anywhere. This is a very nice Italian style restaurant in the Virginia Beach area. Service was friendly and welcoming and the restaurant... had a clean, modern vibe to it. Heated outdoor seating was avaliable, and I took advantage of that. Food was very good as well,and I had a hard time choosing what to eat as a lot of the items sounded so good. My linguini and clam dish was smooth anddelicious, and the tiramasu later on hit the spot. The bread butter and complimentary chocolates were in the shape of a turtleas well, which was a nice touch. What a marvelous experience. Truly one of the best meals I've had in quite some time, even counting the beforetimes. We started... off with the excellent house-made bread, then the beef dumplings (such a great blend of flavors) and the burrata (excellenttomatoes in March? How??). Then I had the shrimp tagliatelle, perfectly cooked plump shrimp with a delightfully creamy andlemony sauce. My friend opted for the excellent short rib rigatoni, the meat fell apart at the touch of a fork. We thought wemight be too full for dessert, but the white chocolate panna cotta with citrus accents was just right, the perfect end to aspectacular meal. This was absolutely fantastic, was not super crowded, I had warm outside seating. My waitress Kate was so nice. I know I was... super extra but she made my birthday dinner super fun. Thank you to the gentleman that let my have the Balloons at the frontdeck lol. Food was perfect, and the wine pairing was unique with the beef tartar..OMG The Rockfish was to die for YESSSSS. First time visit and really didn't know what to expect other than what I've read from the reviews. Food was absolutely delicious... and worth the price! I had the roasted duck and my wife had the roasted halibut. Starter was the burrata. Our server was verycourteous and knowledgeable about the food and drinks (wine and spirits) they served. Would definitely come again. I admit Ihad a different assumption regarding the interior of the restaurant since I didn't look at any photos. I was expecting somethingakin to a dimly lit restaurant with dark wood furniture, etc. It was well lit which I really appreciated. Great restaurant! Read more
