I bought a box of truffles here. A tiny bit more expensive then what I?ve paid for truffles in the past, but this place is also... in the middle of nowhere so I?ll let it slide. I can easily say no where else in Virginia city smells as good as this shop. Thehot dog smell had me drooling every time I walked last. Also the young men working here were the epitome of politeness. This place got me and my wife sick. Person handling the ice cream section did not have no gloves, no hair net and a mask. The... ice cream cooler was totally open to the atmosphere leading to unsafe temperatures for exposure to bacteria. . My wife threw upand had flu like symptoms. . I suffered painful abdominal pain and diarrhea. Be careful before eating here people unless properfood handling is addressed. this place is so cute and old fashioned! they have a wide variety of ice cream flavors as well as brittles and snacks. however,... during my visit, it was staffed by children. now to be fair, it seemed like it was their first days working, but the customerservice was lacking and they did NOT wear gloves when serving food. overall, 3/5 stars.
