I so wanted to love this place, we arrived at 7:15 pm. We walked in the “bar”door not realizing there was another door. The... bar tender and waitresses walked right by us not saying a thing to us. After 10 minutes of standing there I asked the bar tenderif we seat ourselves, he directed us to the other door. We asked for an outside seat and he mentioned that there was not anyavailable but that he would sit us at the window. We were seated and right outside the window was three empty tables. We satthere for at least 15 minutes if not more with the waitresses walking right by us, not a hello, be right with you. We were aboutto walk out when the waitress came by. She was pleasant but the first impression left was not good. Placed our order andreceived it at 8:00 (closing time) to say we felt rushed in an understatement. I have to say the dinner was very good and wouldhave liked to have enjoyed it more. Hopefully additional customer service training will be implemented for all staff. Read more
My husband and I ate here for our date night while on vacation, excellent service, beautiful views, and a delicious meal! I had... the special of shrimp and grits, one of my favorite dishes, and it did not disappoint! The margarita was amazing, and myhusband's scallops were perfectly prepared! Pretty great spot for seafood and a relaxed, country atmosphere. Staff is friendly and the food was beyond excellent. Seated... right next to an inlet of water, the Island House is an amazing spot for a family dinner or a date night. Highly recommend! Read more
