Swung by here trying new-to-me places in town and I have found one of my new favorite comfort food meals. I'm a hungry dude and... the portion size was filling. Easily could have been two meals for someone that actually eats reasonable portions. Parkinganywhere downtown can be tight so plan accordingly depending on time/day of the week. I got a Loco Moco. It is 2 thin-ish wellseasoned hamburger patties topped by fried eggs with rice and mac-n-cheese on the side/under the burgers. All of this is goodand would make for a decent filling meal after a long day. The true key to this dish is the @#$%^&* FANTASTIC gravy. This gravyis a soft warm velvety blanket that is savory without being too salty and makes all the other pieces of the dish sing in aharmony that wouldn't exist without it. I want to put it on everything. For example, mac-n-cheese is typically served as a coldside in this style of food and I am personally not a huge fan of cold savory food. But by mixing a bite of rice, mac, creamyfried egg yolk and this gravy you get a warm fluffy pillow of joy. Definitely a meal meant to be mixed together by bite insteadof each part being a singular offering. I will be eating here again and dragging my friends/family here when I can. I can'twait to try their pork. This is a place worth supporting and keeping in Waco. Read more

We went out of our way on a recent road trip to avoid eating fast food on the highway. We should've just stopped at Bucc'ees. We... ordered a two meat plate (kalbi and kalhua chicken with rice and Mac salad), two loco moco bowls, and a katsu pork plate. Thekatsu was the only plate worth paying for. The loco mocos were unflavored and came with Normandy vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots, something that we've never had even in Hawaii. My two pieces of kalbi were actually one covering a stripof bone. The Mac salad was warm and the Kahlua pork lacked any flavor at all. We decided to take our food to go when we realizedthey were snaking the plumbing/ septic in the kitchen where food was being prepared. The smell outside of restaurant was of rawsewage. We were very disappointed with this experience. Read more

Had high expectations of this place. The restaurant was clean and the food came out in a good time. The chicken katsu was... awesome I will say. The BBQ mix plate was okay. I wish there wasn?t so much fatty bits to the meat. The chicken, pork, beef, andribs all had a lot of chewy fat which I wasn?t as much of a fan of. The flavors were great though. The macaroni salad was goodbut I wish it had a bit more flavor. The two meat could have been a meal for two people. The food proportions are HUGE. Greatfood, atmosphere and music was nice and Hawaiian feeling, and the staff were friendly. Read more

Tucked in between the Silo?s and Dr. Pepper museum is the amazing L&L Hawaiian BBQ. The food is phenomenal. My favorite is the... loco moco, substituted with kalua pork and macaroni salad. So many other great options too. The owner and staff made us feellike part of the ohana (family). A must stop while in town!!! Read more
