Recommend doing the tour/tastings. The Barrel Gin, Single Malt Whiskey, Apple Brandy are all incredible.

What a fun place to visit. I know of j carver from seeing it in the liquor stores around but then really noticed it while at our... favorite restaurant, Winchester and rye, one town over in victoria. We?ve had great cocktails there made from their spirits at jcarver. We have been meaning to make our way to the distillery for some time. They have minimal hours and you do need to reservea time slot to visit. My husband and I opted to take the tour and it was great. Our guides name was Charlie-the best guide. Welearned quite a bit about the process and love that they keep in local. All of their business is kept within a 50 mile radiusand they care about the community they are in. If doing the tour, I recommend arriving about 15 minutes early so you can order acocktail to carry with you. Afterwords, you get to choose 3 spirits to taste and good luck trying to leave empty handed! Amazingflavors and aromas but you will want to buy a bottle simply based on how great they are as a business in this community. Theemployees are happy to be there and you can tell they enjoy talking about the craft answering peoples questions. We will be backas it would be a great place to take company. Read more

This distillery is the best one I have been to in Minnesota - from locally sourced grains to the highest quality distillery... equipment. The barstaff was super friendly and the drinks are delicious.
