Just moved to St. Cloud, and have already been here twice. Had the lunch bento, and the lunch roll specials. Also had some... sushi/sashimi a la carte, and gyoza and fried scallops for apps. The Gyoza was quite good. Would definitely recommend. Thefried scallops were over breaded. All I could taste was the breading. Lunch bento (chicken teriyaki) was great, and woulddefinitely get again. The rice was adequate (improved somewhat by the yum-yum sauce) The rolls (California and Philadelphia)were pretty good too. Would order again. The Sushi/Sashimi was tasty, but manage expectations. We're talking about centralMinnesota, not coastal (or Japan) restaurants. I'd give a solid 3.75-4.25 range. So total goes to 4. Read more

I'm not the type to automatically jump to negative assumptions about things, as it's important to try to see things in a... positive manner. The environment was pretty, I liked the lighting. The waiter was a great guy. I wish they would stop with themasks already but I still liked the guy. Main issue is the food. It is quite expensive for what you get. My girlfriend's platewas unorganized, it's just like a mixture of vegetables and meat with teriyaki sauce on a plate. The rice was stale, and therewasn't much seasoning in the food. There needs to be more various spices, and less of the watery unflavored thick sauce. Therice needs some salt added. Also I feel like bowls should be used or the plating should be upgraded somehow. My beef teriyakidish was better, but it was still a cheaper piece of meat with some teriyaki sauce and alot of onion and a little broccoli withstale rice. It definitely didn't feel like I got my money's worth because the food was quite expensive as well. I just want tobe honest, this is a message for recommendation of improvement, and I believe maybe many would be happy with the food. I willupdate my review later to see if things have changed Read more

Had teppanyaki and the meat was all terribly overcooked despite ordering medium rare. Service was sporadic. Super frustrating... that we were unable to be seated or even added to a waiting list until our entire party had arrived. Read more

The ONLY place in the Cloud for sushi. I have tried that new sushi spot and Lund's. However, this is the place if you want good... safe sushi, bento, or hibachi. *For newcomers to the hibachi experience: be prepared to combine/socialize with other groupsaround the griddle(that's why it's fun)! Additionally, Japanese/Chinese food and rice is typically made with soy sauce thatcontains lots of wheat. Therefore, my gluten-sensitive spouse cannot eat here. I went for lunch on Sunday and chose to sit inone of the booths by the sushi bar. I ordered their special, a Fuji roll, and it was excellent because it reminded me why I loveeel(tastes like bbq chicken). I also had a bento box that came with; delicious miso soup, fresh salad with zippy dressing, seasonal fried veggies(2 creamy lotus roots, an onion ring, a broccoli floret, sweet peppers, and zucchini squash), a couplechicken fingers, a shrimp, four shrimp shumai, teriyaki steak, and rice. Also, a bowl of their zippy house-mixed dipping sauce, yum! I sprang for the flight of three unfiltered sakes which was very nice, although I like the dryer sake better. The hot teawas refreshing and hit the spot. I did have to wait a while for them to refill my water and bring the check because the waiterschanged shifts. This place has a fun atmosphere, cozy booths, detailed/themed light fixtures, and a coy pond by the entrance. And, there are lots of TVs if you want to catch a game. Very nice clean restrooms. Staff was very friendly and chatty!$60+tip/tax. The food and ambiance was worth it! Plus, I had enough leftovers for another meal that I ate later at suppertime. Read more

First time I ordered take out, sadly won't be doing it again. Sushi and orange chicken were good. Orange chicken portion was... pretty small for $20. But the salad I got looks like the bottom of a bag of iceberg that should have been thrown away days ago. When simple things are not correct it makes me think of two things. First, the staff could obviously see the brown lettuce. Therefore, there is a lack of pride and standards in the food they serve. Second, and more problematic, if the standards are solow on simple things like serving a fresh salad, what other food safety standards are subpair in the kitchen? Read more
