Despite a rocky start because of the seating arrangements, 5 stars is well deserved. Our server found a wine to our liking, ... put in our entrées so we weren?t rushed thru our salad and brought our deliciously flavored dinner steaming hot. Absolutely impeccable food! All of the food I had here was incredibly tasty. The meatballs here are easily the best I have ever... had and the bolognese was amazing as well. Excellent food, excellent service. I've been coming here for years and it's hands down the best restaurant in the valley. I had... one bad experience where I had to cancel a res at the last minute. I felt extremely bad and asked the owner to take my cc# overthe phone and charge $200 to cover any losses incurred by our cancellation. He aggressively rejected my offer and startedquestioning me about why I was cancelling at the last minute. I explained it was due to circumstances outside my control, andasked him to just charge my card whatever amount he thought was fair to remedy the situation. He again refused and scolded mefor a few more seconds before hanging up. I totally get that it's frustrating to have a customer cancel a res but when theyproactively offer to pay you for the meals they won't be eating, just take the money and move on. Or decline the offer and moveon. Why beat someone up over a what is essentially a non-issue. Read more

The food was good, the owner was extremely rude. My wife made reservations in advance and he was rude to her on the phone. We... arrived on time for our reservation (he was rude), and the owner stuffed us in the bar though the main dining room had opentables. We stayed for one hour and twenty minutes and as we left, there were three tables open in the main dining room. Wespoke to a local and they knew of his personality and blamed it on his New York heritage (I don't buy that, we know lots of niceNew Yorkers). The night before we ate at American Flatbread. Great Experience! I'd strongly recommend doing that instead. Read more
