Being from Texas, I'm always hesitant going to new barbecue spots, but Pig Rig immediately put my mind at ease. Between my... partner and I, we tried three of the meats (ribs, brisket, pulled pork), two of the sides (Mac & cheese, potato salad), and thecornbread. They delivered on all fronts! The brisket was perfectly tender, the pork was the right amount of juicy, and the ribs*almost* fell right of the bone. Everything was cooked wonderfully and with a a passion for the meat. My boyfriend was in the mood for barbecued food, he usually grills by himself but wasn?t in the mood! We googled some places and... found this one. We went there, the staff was super friendly as I explained it was our first time. She helped guiding us on howthe restaurant works. We placed our order and went outside because they have tables and chairs out there. As we?re talking, agentleman comes up to us and introduced himself as the owner. He was super nice and made sure we were taken care of! You canalways tell off of first impressions their intentions. This guy was so enthusiastic about his restaurant. It was very nicehaving a conversation with him as my boyfriend just opened his own business and felt inspired. The food was definitely 10/10 andso was the service. Great food and Excellent Customer Service!!! Was visiting this part of CT for work and ate here a couple of times. I even... brought some co-workers when I returned and they enjoyed it. The burnt ends are moist and charred just right. I tried the chiliMac, the regular Mac with the bacon, the brisket, potato salad, cornbread, and carrot cake between all visits and everything wasphenomenal!
