Easy to walk here from the Broadway Plaza Shops in Downtown Walnut Creek. Very conveniently located with indoor and outdoor... seating as well as a large bar area that serves happy hour on weeknights. The Happy Hour gives great portion sizes for a reallygood price. The drinks came out quickly and so did the food. This is a great place for a date night or to bring family / guests,the menu is extensive and the atmosphere is fantastic. Read more
Had a wonderful business lunch at Il Fornaio. We shared orders of calamari (light and crispy) and brussels (nicely roasted with... a tang) . I opted for one of the specials today, the Al Funghi over Polenta (love the mushroom mix), my colleagues chose theRavioli Lucana (spinach ravioli stuffed with Italian sausage) and Insalata Regina with Chicken for their entrées. For dessertit was a scoop of chocolate gelato and Setteveli (chocolate cake w mousse and hazelnut praline) Il Fornaio is a chain, but thequality of the food has always been consistent and delicious and today was no exception. We came here last night for my birthday dinner. (Early dinner) our server was so amazing. She didn't stand around talking as... many friendly servers do at times. She was respectful of our dining experience and kept our water and tea classes full. We neverhad to call her over, it was like she was a ninja of servers. The food was perfectly cooked. My friend got the Ravioli and I gotthe Rigatoni. I honestly couldn't decide if I liked his or mine more. As it was my birthday I had to have a sweet treat and thisrestaurant has the best tiramisu ever! So light not overly sweet. Melts in your mouth with subtle espresso flavors.
