Fabulous lunch at Opa! My lunch partner and I decided to share a few appetizers and a salad. We had the Frito Misto, a nice mix... of calamari, green beans and onions; the spanakopita, a lighter version then I've had in other Greek restaurants, but so good; aspread sampler with tzatziki, fiery feta and kalamata all with pita bread; dolmas and a Greek Chopped salad with gyro meat. Ihad the Opa sangria and she had a Greek margarita to finish our meal. We throughly enjoyed the food. The only con was howshort staffed they were. We felt bad for our waitress who was handling all the tables - inside and outside, mixing all the drinks and running food with help from the Hostess. Read more

About once a year I visit this area and this is a favorite dinner place. The moussaka is good (if you like eggplant) and the... skewers and Greek salad are wonderful. The Greek nachos are so-so; plentiful but pricey, and I'm not a fan of hard pita chips.Beware the cocktails as some of them are very powerful. It's downtown Walnut Creek so have fun with parking, but the meters takedebit cards. Pay for at least 1 1/2 hours. Read more

A cute Mediterranean place with good food and friendly staff. We had brunch with baklava waffles and a gyro pita. The waffles... didn't really have the baklava flavor, but still good. Read more

We came here for desserts after dinner one night. Was excited to have mine after reading the menu. It turned it to be flackier... than I thought and unfortunately burned. It wasn't enjoyable as each bite had burned pastry. He enjoyed his cake and ice cream. The cake had melted chocolate inside. Read more

We hit Opa! for a Friday Date night this weekend and it did not disappoint. I was a bit disappointed when my wife chose Greek... for dinner, since most places tend to be a bit mundane with the menu selections and a tad greasy with the food. But then wewent to Opa! Let's start with the cocktails, something I don't normally associate with Greek restaurants. Opa! had a veryinteresting and varied cocktail and wine selection. I ordered an Argonaut - a rum & falernum version of a Mule or Dark &Stormy. I've been using Falernum to make sours at home (it is an allspice flavored liqueur) but never would have thought topair it with rum for a Dark & Stormy. But I will now. The only disappointment was no copper mug, but I'll get over that. Onetaste and my wife bailed on her white wine and ordered that for her second drink. I switched to red for my meal, and they had agreat Zin by the glass (Seghesio), which many restaurants don't offer. Winner! We had a saganaki appetizer (I mean, the placeis called Opa!) and sopped up all the cheese and lemon with some very warm and puffy pita slices. Next was the green Greeksalad. They were kind enough to split it for us, and add olives and beets to mine. Excellent! We went pretty old school forour main courses, after all those apps. We both got pitas - a Gyro for me and Falafel for her. Served on the same puffy pitabread, with a generous helping of "Opa fries" as a side. The fries had greek vinaigrette dressing and feta cheese crumbled ontop. Quite tasty! The pitas had a good size portion of protein, onions, tomato and tzatzki sauce. No leftovers thisnight! Our waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful. The service was prompt without ever feeling rushed. The place wasbusy, considering we were there fairly early on a Friday night. We just missed the happy hour, which looked to have some prettygood deals. In all, we enjoyed Opa! There were so many traditional and non-traditional options on the menu that Read more
