Wow! The food here was Amazing! We tried the tamales, green chili bowl, biscuits and bacon covered gravy ???, cornbread smothered in green chili. Oh my Starz I am drooling just writing this. The owner made everything that morning. We planned on going back before she closed but she was completely sold out. I am not surprised.
THIS IS A MUST STOP!!! First off the owner and service is amazing! You will feel like you are the only one she cares about! The food is the best! Everything is fresh and cooked with love! Each day the food is different so go multiple times!!! If you drive by you just missed out!
We found this little gem passing Through and glad we did. They had great ratings and the owner/operator is so friendly. Her food while nothing fancy, had that homemade taste and seasoned good. The prices are great and the portion sizes even better, you could almost share a plate. She offered daily specials like chili, quesadillas, sandwiches. We saw many locals coming & going. It?s a small little shop so the seating is outdoors but there are plenty of tables. They are open Thursday- Sunday. They are a dog friendly establishment.
This place has amazing food! Don?t let the small interior fool you, the inside has many delicious options. The owner was wonderful and insisted on giving us samples. We settled on a homemade chicken and chipotle tamale, white chili with chicken and jalapeños over cornbread, and more. We also had the pear fennel lemonade (also homemade) which was fantastic. We actually went back in and bought out most of her tamales to bring to friends. I highly recommend this gem of a place!
What a gem! We stopped here for lunch while passing through. We will definitely stop again. I had the vegan tamales with medium green chili sauce. They were delicious. Others in our group had the quiche, beef tamales, pork tamales, quesadilla and the coconut pink lemonade. Everything was great. Can?t beat the prices! There are only outside tables. Everything is served in styrofoam, but we saw locals using their own containers. We will do this next time.
This new, cute eatery was an amazing find! We were headed back across country and struggling to find breakfast on this beautiful Sunday morning. We love supporting local and loathe fast food so this was perfect. The food was delicious. We will stop by again when we are passing through the area for sure!
PLEASE EAT HERE! Wow! If you're passing through the area or in the area... do yourself a favor and pay this cute little eatery a visit. You won't regret it and you just might find yourself placing three separate orders like we did because everything was SO GOOD. We ordered four items... then went back in and ordered more... then went back AGAIN and ordered some for the road. Wow. We got the "applejack" sandwich, the cornbread, the green Chile quiche (to die for), and more. The whole time we were there, there was constantly a line of locals telling me how amazing this place is and what their favorite dishes are. There were even people walking in with their own Tupperware and having her fill it up with everything she had. This sweet sweet woman and her son make everything themselves and it's all family recipes. She also has some amazing homemade lemonades. The pink coconut and the honey lavender were to die for. Do yourself a favor and make the stop and support a local business while you?re at it. Anytime we are in this area again, we would definitely go out of our way to come back.
Great homemade food! Stopped by in our travels and really enjoyed the experience. Jessie is really nice and makes delicious food... especially the Green Chile Quiche (pepper pie). She whipped up some special request quesadillas for the kids, which they quickly devoured.
