Thanksgiving Buffet overpriced for the same price you could have gone to Captain's Inn. Food was diner food served up buffet... style. They had a big Gob bowl of what looked to be butter that was margarine. Butter was provided in little cubes. The dessertsdisappeared fast and we're not replaced enough. Seated next to counter would not move us to different table. Stared at bynumerous and I mean numerous waitresses and Personnel while we were eating that was uncomfortable. They started pushing us atabout 6:15 to hurry up which made us slow down more. It was a shame. Definitely think the buffet should have been priced around15 $16. Probably never go here again it's just another Diner there are other places to go. On Thanksgiving of course it islimited in the area but I still think Captain's in is a better bet with hundreds of more selections for around the same price.We always go to Captain's Inn but we took a break this time and we are sorry we did. If you want to go to a place like Perkinsor a diner then this restaurant diner is the place to go. I have to mention the stuffing it was horrible it was made from stalebread the same bread they had out to eat now I am privy to stuffing because I make my own but at least don't you sourdough breadthe stuffing ring of being old and stale. I think they tried but they could have done better. Especially for the clientele whowent in because this area can't afford the Buffet at this price. Mixed vegetables were overcooked and the fried seafood platter had no taste. Husband had reef and beef and the corn was terrible... and the shrimp had no taste. Waitress, when told that the veggies were overcooked only offered corn instead of replacing theveggies with ones not overcooked. We were very disappointed. Read more
Diner food, not bad, just was expecting a little more. The service was horrible though, which is why we won't be going back.... The server came to the table, didn't take drink order and just asked what we wanted. I was charged extra to have my porkroll andcheese on a bagel instead of a roll, not a big deal but the charge was almost $2 which seems really high for that substitution.When the food came out the server set it on the table didn't say anything or check if we needed anything and just walked away,she didn't come back to refill drinks or check on us at all until we flagged her down for the check. Well Thanksgiving should have been a lot cheaper for what was provided. Glorified diner food. Tried to hurry us up looked at us... the whole time we were eating for that kind of money we should have gone to the Captain's Inn and got hundreds of more items forbasically the same price. The desserts disappeared and were not replenished. Instead of using real butter they heaped up a pileof margarine next to the mashed potatoes. You could find real butter in little packages. The stuffing was atrocious they use thesame bread as the bread they put out for the bread hors d'oeuvres. Stale. Well better than nothing maybe.
