Upon hearing Metallica's ' enter sandman ' was playing in the seated area I should have went with my gut and turned... around.Ordered fish and chips. Fish was way undercooked. Some would say still frozen. Informed the waiter and he couldn't bebothered enough to stop prancing from table to table long enough to even fake that he cared. So much for trying somewier new. My husband and I LOVE Richardson's! We go there as often as we can, sometimes bring the kids, sometimes go just the two of us,... but always happy with everything when we go! Mike, the owner, always takes time out to come say, "hello" and make sure we areenjoying our meal, Stu, host/waiter/bartender with his endearing Irish brogue, sense of humor and friendly enthusiasm has to bethe nicest guy in the tri-state area! And, (I can't remember his name -- i will edit when i do!!) the other bartender/waiter isalso super-friendly, attentive, warm, chatty and goes out of his way to make you feel at home! With a staff like that, the factthat their food is absolutely OUTSTANDING really closes the deal! We love going to local places and supporting other smallbusinesses, but we go back to Richardson's again and again because the food is that good and the atmosphere is perfect for us! Favorites of mine include the prosciutto and mushroom risotto (checks off every box), the brussell sprouts (so tasty) and thefish tacos (so fresh). Went there for New Year’s Eve, and the food was terrible! Portions were at the most minimum, and pathetic. I being a person... who has never complained about a restaurant serving in my life, and this had no choice but to complain. The chef told me hewas sorry but I had to pay for the entrees that we didn’t receive, they were the most minimalist plates I’ve seen in mylife. The owners/ chef pretty much tried to put the shame on me, but being one of four people in the entire establishment we allknew the shame fell on him. CONSUMER BEWARE! Read more

Giving Richardson's 4 stars since I know it is owned by and staffed by educators. We loved Stu the Irish bartender who was... informative and funny. He was the only service person in the restaurant. Food was just ok. Risotto was just rice, fish wasserved with skin on, shrimp tasted like hamburgers (assuming they are cooked on the same grill). I think this could be a reallynice, cozy Irish pub with the right decor and menu. Read more
