We had our rehearsal dinner at The Bond, 1786 and the whole process was comforting and easygoing. Marlene put us at ease with... customizing our dinner planning choices. The atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing and they even started the outdoor fire piton the patio for us to enjoy after dinner. We chose family style service at each table. Beef brisket was SO FLAVORFUL! Thechicken was moist and yummy. Baked Mac n cheese, PERFECT collard greens, and potato salad. The apple crisp for dessert washeavenly. I have been to the bond since they reopened. My wife and along with friends love going there when we are up in Lake George. But... this time it was most disappointing. Not just my dish but my wife?s and friends. I love the salmon dish with risotto. 2 of ushad it. The rice was hard wasn?t cooked properly or creamy like risotto is supposed to be. My friends short ribs was flavorlesslike boiled meat. My wife?s so called scampi dish was just plain cream no added herbs or spices. Shrimp not seared. My otherfriend had same dish as me and was disappointed. I asked the waitress if the Bond changed Chef?s. She answered yes. They betterget the other Chef back. People. Wake up! This was the best brunch I?ve ever had. The Bloody Mary was so spicy and delicious. The Prosciutto Avocado... Eggs Benedict were ridiculous. Price was just right. Great cathedral wood truss ceiling which gave you that great Adirondackfeeling! Stop complaining restaurants aren?t open. Visit this place often so they can stay open !!!! Read more
My friend and I had an excellent dinner at The Bond. We shared a delicious crab cake?filled with real crab not filler. I had the... scallops dish which was very well prepared and tasty. My friend had the shrimp scampi-loved it. Finished with a wonderful keylime pie. Portions were large and excellent service. Will be going back soon. Read more
