The only reason they're able to claim they have the best BBQ in the area is because there ain't no one else cooking it. The pork... was cold and bland not to mention I can eat at Firebirds for half the price. This is one of the most over priced places in allof VA and the food is mediocre at best. Read more
Eh.... Kinda disappointed. Good BBQ is apparently rare in Virginia, so I'm not surprised this place was mediocre at best.... Definitely NOT Texas or Carolina BBQ. The gospel music they were playing was weird too. Read more
Great brisket sandwich and burnt ends. These are excellent, since it is hard to find good authentic Texas style brisket and... burnt ends. I will be coming back soon to try the other meats. I will say I did not like the green beans. Tried them and theydidn't have any flavor. I would recommend trying a different side. Read more
Taco Tuesday. I think this is how they dispose of earlier days meat. Got the brisket, full of fat. Burnt ends, seemed dry. Key... lime pie was ok, but not worth $9 a slice. Shawn's was the place we would go when we wanted good bar-b-q. Now I don't think I'll be back. There isn't anyone out in the... dining room and I actually knocked on the door to the kitchen numerous times before someone came out. The people were niceenough. The food was cold when brought to our table which they apologized and brought us warm food. The place is not as clean asit used to be, from the dining room and especially the bathroom ????. We were very sad that it deteriorated so much! Someoneneeds to step up and really care. ???? Read more
