Been visiting here since 1972 after reading an article in the NY Times. Never disappoints. Food is wonderful. Can sit for lunch... looking out at the beautiful sun soaked meadows or take in the warmth from the lit fireplace in the dining room. The bar had anold fashioned carriage for many years which you could sit in n have a drink..nice people run this restaurant. Michael has ownedit for years now, and is a very talented chef..Love this place. Read more

Mixed feeling for sure. Two hostess at door, older women seemed annoyed by our arrival and zero warmth, younger girl was... pleasant. Waitress was nice. Crab cakes and fried chicken were excellent, the rest of our order got mixed reviews from thetable. Front vestiblue was dirty, bathrooms not cleaned recently. Celebrated a milestone birthday with excellent food and service. The staff, Hanna (bartender) and Amanda (server) were amazing.... We had the cheese plate (5) and Pumpkin Ravioli for appetizers. The short ribs were incredibly tender and could be cut with afork. The scallop risotto was amazing. Creamy risotto and perfectly seared tender scallops. The wine list offered something forall of us.
