Our first visit to Hook n Reel will DEFINITELY NOT BE OUR LAST!!???????????????? The parking was pleantiful! The decor is so... cool with a HUGE MARLIN to greet you as you enter the vestibule! The bar area inside was GORGEOUSLY awash in a beautiful blueambiant light and the dining area had boothes and tables a pleanty!! There are metal buckets with bag liners convenientlylocated on all the tables so that you have tons of room on your table and plate for the very generous portions of SOME OF THEMOST AMAZING FOOD ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? I had the chicken strips andcajun fries, (shellfish allergy), These strips were golden, perfectly crispy and when you bite into the all white strips,TENDER, JUICY AND OH SO FLAVORFUL!!! My Husband had fried oysters and cajun fries... He had nothing but RAVE REVIEWS about hisoysters being PERFECTLY ON POINT! PLEASE STOP IN AND HAVE A BITE!!! Overall I would have to rate this a 4 out of 5 experience. The food was great but the portions didn't really match the price... point. Being that we were in Rhode Island I wasn't expecting the clams and lobster tail to be so small. Secondly, our waiterEthan was ultimately very polite and got our order correct but did not come back to let us know he was leaving for the night andthat another staff member would be taking care of us. We weren't checked on again until we were just about to ask another staffmember for our check. The atmosphere was decent, the food was somewhat overpriced when compared to quality and price of similarestablishments. The food itself was tasty. The margaritas we received were very good. Went there on Saturday for lunch. Kelli was the most attentive and accommodating server I've had in a long time. If it wasn't... for her great service my review would be lower. The table felt a bit sticky even though I watched someone clean it. I have hadthe bag of seafood and understand it gets messy. The clam chowder was amazing and shareable with my girlfriend. She enjoyed amargarita and we shared two baskets. One Cajun wing with cajun fries and one fried shrimp with cajun fries. The shrimp wasdelicious and the wings were crunchy and enjoyable. The fries could use a little more Cajun spice. If you want to get thesteamed bags of seafood it can get expensive but our lunch date was fairly cheap. Will be returning 100%. Read more
