Every time we have been to Cappella Magna it has been a fabulous experience. The cuisine is devine. The atmosphere is intimate.... The service is top notch. If you want to go somewhere for fine dining and an experience Cappella Magna is the perfect spot. It'sour date night of choice. Read more
I?ve been curious about the interior for a few years, but haven?t visited as we live over an hour away. On a whim, I pulled... over on the road through town, and I was kind of bowled over. It?s so neat! A friend warned that it would be an out of budgetexperience, but I found it to be extremely fairly priced. I was actually surprised it wasn?t more! I had lobster bisque thatwas very flavorful, and a generous Caesar salad with fresh crispy croutons, crispy cold romaine lettuce, and zingy Caesardressing that was clearly housemade. My daughter had a fresh salad and a kids? meal size spaghetti. We loved it. To top itoff, the owners were so kind. They made us feel so special, seating us at a special table, scooting in chairs, hanging coats,taking the time to speak to us, and even bringing us a free pavlova for dessert ? trust me on this, get it if you go! (Bakedmeringue with whipped cream, fresh berries and shaved dark chocolate! Yum!). All in all, a do-again restaurant for thisfamily. What an awesome experience. The spray paint ceiling is astounding when you look at the scale. The host, the artist's father,... is passionate and very warm hearted. We felt like royalty. We purchased the 4 course meal, and upgraded to the beef medallionsand the flaming chocolate dessert. The starters had outstanding flavor. We we're stuffed by the end. Check out the art in thebathroom hallway, and the articles on the wall. Also, you can get a pic from the stairs which is memorable. Great experienceand like the supper clubs from the past. The waiting staff was spectacular, formal yet friendly. This is a must visit forWaterloo! The food is not "foodie" and hip, but rather classical and charming the way a nice meal should be. Read more
