It's hard not to give this place 5 stars because I would recommend it if you are in the area. It's a nice place to have lunch... and the food was pretty good. I will say this though, the young people working here were not sitting around talking or trying tofigure out something to do. They were cleaning if they weren't cooking, waiting on people, helping prepare the food ordelivering it. They were busy, busy. The food prep is done where you can see it too. I really liked that. No surprises. The chefwas putting out the food too. The whole staff seemed to know what needed to be done and were willing to help. That was apleasant surprise now days. Good customer service. What a great idea! The menu is sandwiches, wraps and soups along with thesoda fountain drinks and desserts. My wife had the half farm club sandwich with taco soup. The soup was the only thing that wasnot good. My daughter had the farm club sandwich. The sandwiches are served with chips. I had the Texas wrap. It was prettygood. All of the items appeared to be proportioned appropriately for lunch in my opinion. $28 for 3 people including tip. We hadthe worlds smallest ice cream sundae also. $1.99. We arrived around 3pm & my spouse & I placed our orders. We were then told they'd just run out of bacon & to make other... selections. Reluctantly selected a chicken salad with pecans & grapes on croissant with a tomato basil soup questioning whatwe'd be presented. My daughter & her son also settled for alternate orders due to lack of product. When our meals arrived, nothing was as described. As for my spouse & me, there was no pecans, a sliver of a grape, unfounded chicken , rather a wetrunny sour cream & possibly mayo slurry inside the croissant dripping all over & around the plate. The Tomato soup was missingthe basil entirely. The disappointment was aggravating! There was a lot of staff there. Only one time did a young maleemployee go to the overflowing trash can down which then rose to beyond full as he walked away. Lots of chatting from thedistracted staff with themselves. As we left to toss our meals into the trash, we stacked their styrofoam containersprecariously as to not let them topple onto the ground. As my grandson asked what to do with his container seeing thedisastrous trash disposal delicate, I said for him to go ahead & place it towards the top & just let it fall given no stafferscould have been bothered with the overflow of trash. Obviously it was near shift change because, as we were getting into ourcar, four employees were getting into the car parked beside of ours at the courthouse. Never ever will we visit thisunsupervised establishment again. Never before have we had such a horrible experience with any of the restaurants or otherbusinesses in this beautiful area we frequent. We travel about an hour for what we always have an amazing time here, untilthis day at this establishment. Sad the owners are so apathetic. First time there. Prices are a bit high, especially for what you get. Ordered shakes, they finished two orders that came after... us but we did not get ours, so I went and asked. The people behind the counter began oddly and quietly talk to each other,eventually one person offered an apology then they made our order. The shakes come in thin plastic cups so the melt very fast,it just turns to liquid. Also the straws were so small that we could not use them, the chunks in the shakeout plugging thestraw. Wish we had just gone to Whataburger or Sonic, cheaper, faster, better cup and straw. Oh, and we had to fight with theflies that were everywhere. Definitely not going back. Read more
