I am at a loss for words on this place? We decided to try this place since it was next to the Meat Church BBQ Supply store in... downtown. I was expecting maybe they would use some of the seasoning from Meat Church but man was I wrong. The prices were a bitsteep for the amount of food we received. I tried the two (2) meat plate with two (2) sides. I had the ribs which were baby backand the regular sausage. My sides were the Mac & Cheese and the Cole Slaw. I did not feel the ribs were rubbed with anything andthey were saved by the sweet barbecue sauce. The sausage did not have any snap to it and was also saved by the barbecue sauce.The Mac & Cheese was very bland and needed some salt and pepper. My son had the brisket and it was okay but not great. All inall I am hoping it was just a bad week and a different cook from the usual. For me this experience was not great and could evensay ?The Vault Smokehouse? needs a menu overhaul. Read more
Not bad, not great. Pretty middle of the road. The sauce is sweet like you would expect of Texas barbecue, but it does not have... the savory pepper flavor that most prefer.
