A small jem not far from sandbanks. We stopped by without a reservation, on our way back home and got an amazing service. The... drink was surprising, and the food was great. We tried almost everything on the menu and the chicken wings were amazing! Weordered two more because it was really good!! Read more
Service was great. They have a small patio in the front and lots of seating inside. Highlights were the fried spicy tofu,... vegetarian gyoza and the chicken wings. The only thing I wasn?t a huge fan of were the noodles but that could have been due topersonal preference. We didn?t have room For dessert but it looked great. This was such a wonderful experience. The food was perfectly balanced and prepared with an option to spice it up individually.... This is the best real food that I've had in a long time. Care and skill was apparent in everything we ate and drank. The staffwere kind, helpful and happy to share their knowledge of the top shelf items in the bar as well. Koenji is one of the few wellington establishments open late so we stopped in multiple times during our stay in Wellington.... Their drink menu is quite extensive and servers are very knowledgeable when recommending drinks & flights! We also ordered gyoza& wings and were not disappointed!
