* This IHOP is in serious need of a good scrubbing and remodeling. They were very busy with a 15 minute wait for seating around... 1:00 pm. The first place where we got seated had issues with the bench seating, (broken springs, so we moved). * Their TVcommercials are a bit deceptive...they offer 6.99 specials and such to leave the impression that the place is economical...notso. * A party of 2 was $30+ with the tip. One had 55+ plus discount breakfast, the other had a sandwich with fries. No dessertsor extras. Oops. * The service was exceptional. The young lady was very efficient and there when we needed something. We lefther a good tip. 11/25/22 UPDATE; This has happened more than once, so I think it is standard procedure...evidently the cooksdon't know how to make an omelet with different ingredients. Each time someone in our party has ordered an omelet the veggiesare uncooked! They are just folded into the egg after it has been cooked! Management and cooks need to retake Omelet 101. Duh. Today was a good day for this IHOP in Weslaco. Wait staff never feels the restraint of withholding their private conversations... for all to hear, so it is always fun to listen to the banter behind the scenes. The food was on point, and they made specialaccommodations for my lil' gremlin who ONLY eats boiled eggs (ask for them early because they are made and not bought, which ispreferred) with his pancakes. This was superb! Vendors come in and offer their wears; which is nice to support kids or thefootball teams in the area. Overall, this was a great meal. My sausage didn't come back DEAD like I asked, and there was a bitof translation issues when explaining it, but oh well, I ate it like a good girl and liked it! ???? Read more
I was with a large group of friends (we had just arrived at the restaurant from a football game) and we were met with nothing... but kindness and professionalism from our waiter, Precise(I hope I spelled his name right). He was very happy I serve our groupof 16 and was always asking if we needed anything else. It's hard working employees like him that make me want to go back to therestaurant and I hope this review gets him a pay raise.???? Read more
