The pork belly was OUT OF THIS WORLD!! PLEASE TRY THE PORK BELLY! It has a chicharron flavor almost, but then moist and cooked... under. Foodies? paradise! Get there early or it WILL SELL OUT! The brisket was moist and very well seasoned. Rice on POINT!Frijoles charros amazing! Mac and cheese was a little over cooked to me and was a bit too liquidy, but good nonetheless. Potatosalad was also DELICIOUS! Pork ribs were perfect! Ya!ll! The tortillas de harina alone were deliciosas! Chocolate chip cookiesare salted and AMAZING! Smokin Moon better watch out for this joint!!! Some constructive CRITICISM: the ordering layout/methodis way too slow. There were about 4 orders/people ahead of us and it took about 35 minutes. They might be understaffed, notsure, but it does take a very long time to order and get the food. Is it worth the wait? ABSOLUTELY! Keep it up guys! Read more

Today my wife and I traveled to Harlingen and on our way back decided to stop at Teddy?s BBQ restaurant in Weslaco. Upon... arrival (11:45 am) we learned we would have to wait outside in the hot sun because the line extended outside of the front door. We waited patiently and eventually were able to move slowly into the restaurant. It took approximately 45 minutes before wewere able to get to our table with the food. The food taste was very good, the prices were expected to be high but thedisappointing thing was the beans on the chicken plate was like a 2 ounce cup. Over all the size of the restaurant is just tosmall. The establishment is blessed to have good business because they had a good size crowd but needs changes drastically. There was only 1 young man behind the counter cutting the meat one customer at a time which stalled the line. To be fair thereseemed to have a couple of large parties inside but there is very limited seating available. Yes they have seating outside butthe tables are located right next to the hot pits. The brisket, chicken and sausage were very good, the problem here was justthe time it took to get to our table only means we probably won?t be back. Wish them the best and hope the management considersimproving the seating of the dining room, getting more help behind the counter and more importantly getting rid of a 2 ouncecup of beans they call a side. There?s a reason Valley foodies and Texas Monthly is raving about Teddy?s BBQ. It?s VERY good. As you can see (by the pics) we... tasted most of their offerings. Brisket, Pork Belly, Beef Ribs, Pork Ribs, 2 of their Sausages (Chili Piquin and Serrano) andmost of their side dishes (Bernie Mac, Cream Corn, Beans and Potato Salad) too. All the meat choices were excellent. The BernieMac and Cream Corn need a little tweaking in my opinion but the Potato Salad, as simple as it seems, brought back memories of myMom?s potato salad. We ordered the Trinity which is 1 lb of brisket, ribs, and sausage. The Chile pequin and cheddar sausage has a great burst of... heat, doesn't linger. The crispy skin pork belly doesn't disappoint with it's extra crunchy outer layer and soft belly. The ribswere soft, moist, and flavorful. The beef fat chocolate chip cookie has a deep molasses flavor with a soft chewy texture, notbeefy at all in flavor. Mac and cheese and potatoe salad also live up to expectations. Pickles are fabulously crunchy. They dosell out but we went at 12:15 and they still had everything. Read more
