Great food and great atmosphere. We went to watch the Peru game and it felt like we were at the match. The sandwich was... authentic and delicious. We will definitely be going back here as soon as we can! Read more

Cute quaint little taco shop. Seems to be ran by a father and son and I love that dynamic. They literally make everything from... scratch and serve it to you. Handmade corn tortillas AND salsa verde. Would definitely go back for something else if I'm ever inSalt Lake City. Read more

Excellent service from a young lady who spoke fluent Spanish and English, and asked me when I came in if this is my first time... at the restaurant. It was a very nice question because it was my first time and I did not know much about the menu other thanwhat I read in the reviews here. Based on the recommendation from another reviewer, I thought about ordering the special of theday?a soup?but I was also looking over the menu. The server brought out a small bowl of the soup for me to try. I had not askedto try the soup so this was a very nice touch. It ended up being delicious, so I ordered it. It came with corn tortillas, lime, onions, and cilantro. A relatively large bowl, although just right because a mostly clear broth made up half the soup. A veryfresh taste to all of the ingredients. The soup was Sonoran gallina pinto. I highly recommend this #authentic #Sonoran #Mexicanrestaurant for #breakfast or #lunch. Read more

Really delicious, authentic Mexican food! The place was a little too small, but the service was good and food came out fast... especially considering we were a group of 20+ people. I would definitely recommend it! Read more

It is a good place to try a delicious meal from the Northwest of Mexico, Sonora is in other parts of Mexico, Sonoran cuisine is... basically a mixture of indigenous and Spanishinfluences . When the Spaniards moved north of the Valley of Mexico , theyfound that the diet of the place was simpler, with the basics of corn, beans and squash, but without the extra variety thatexisted in the south. For this reason, these Spaniards influenced the way in which this diet was developed. They brought toSonora European harvests of flour , beef , dairy products , pork and more, as well as dishes and ingredients fromcentral and southern Mexico, such as tortillas , more varieties of chiles and tamales. Cowboy culture has been animportant aspect of Sonoran culture since the colonial era and much of the cuisine is based on what the cowboys ate in thebeginning, even though most Sonorans no longer work outdoors. Sonoran cuisine is not limited to its current geography. Arizonaespecially in the southern area near the border, has a kitchen that is also rich in flour, cheese and beef; thus it was takenby the Spaniards, to what was once part of Sonora. Both states continue with the cowboy tradition. Due to the situation ofSonora as a border state, its cuisine has also received a significant influence from the USA. Came out to the swapmeet and saw this little spot right next door. Having been to Hermosillo and Gavin tasted the famous hot... dogs there, wanted to give it a shot. Really nice menu, not a massive selection, which is fantastic because thy focus on whatthey do well. Our table ordered a few Carne Asada plates, various tacos and of course, the hot dogs. Everything was fantasticand have to say that the house made tortillas were some of the best I've had. The owner sent out a few samples of other itemson the menu and the seafood soup was one of them, it was fantastic. Great service and hospitality as they never complainedwhile our party's two children ran around a bit. Next time I'm out this way I'll for sure stop by and will probably even makethe trip back out here. Great local/small business, please support! Read more
