We have ordered from taste of New York AT LEAST once a month for the past year since we discovered them. The only place we get... pizza from. We tell everyone about them and everyone who?s had them says they?re top tier. We mostly get pizza but have once ortwice tried other items off the menu and were pleased. Love supporting them, from what I am told owner is a great man as well.What a treat Read more
Such a disappointment. I ordered the sausage sandwich because the menu picture looked awesome. I have never had sausage (or lack... of) that was sparse slivers of "sausage". You want to be Italian, cook like an Italian. Put some MEAT on that sandwich. Nothinglike overpaying for bread. There won't be a second time. Read more
My favorite pizza in the entire city! The kitchen staff there cranked out one great pizza after another last night while the... restaurant was slammed. WONDERFUL. I love NY style pizza and these guys nailed it. Very pleasant staff helped me out and got me a fantastic slice of... classic NY Pepperoni pizza and a Pepperoni "bread roll" which was delicious and similar to a Stromboli. Love every bite, justthe right amount of juicy flavor. Probably ate too much! Lol. I live out of town in Ankeny but I'm definitely coming back.Amazing. Read more

Just went here tonight for the first time and this is coming from an (East Coast guy) ! I was raised in CT right next to NY,... I've been to NYC many times in my life, pretty much spent 26 years on the east coast and I can confidently say this.... Thispizza is the closest you're going to get to NYC pizza in the state of Iowa! We ordered the garlic knots and the Margherita pizzaalong with a regular cannoli. Total order came out to around $35 , The pizza cost $25, the knots for 5 was about $5 and thecannoli was $4. I went ahead and asked one of the workers the story behind the place and with great detail and a friendlyattitude was told the owners of the shop came to Iowa from NY and quite a few of the workers were from NY as well ! Very niceatmosphere in there, friendly staff, and AMAZING food !! Those pizza ovens were HOT, all our food came out in about 15 minuetsand we tore into our dinner right in the parking lot, couldn't have been more pleased with the meal. The cannoli filling wasdelicious, soft, velvety and tasted so fresh, the shell was crispy and perfectly cooked. The knots were soft with crispy peaksand edges yet fluffy,soft and full of flavor !! And finally that pizza was delicious!!! Steaming hot, crisp bottom , beautifullycooked and thin just like in NY! the dough however is made in house, doesn't come from NYC itself but I'm sure the recipe comesfrom NY.
