Triple XXX has been serving burgers (?chopped steaks?) and breakfast for nearly 100 years and have a local following that should... keep people coming back for at least another 100. The place is named for their brand of root beer, made with sugarcane. Theburger won over Guy Ferarri on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and likely will do so for you. Their headline burger is the DuanePurvis All American, which introduces creamy peanut butter to your burger. Those less adventurous should opt for theBoilermaker Pete, a 1/3 lbs. burger with melted American Cheese and grilled onions. Delicious. If you're in the mood for some sloppy burgers, greasy fries, and sticky milkshakes, Triple XXX is the most famous spot around... this side of Indiana. They've been here since the 1930's and still have that old school drive-in charm. I've enjoyed all of thefood here, from the breakfast items to the burgers. They have some interesting combinations of the typical stuff - like a burgerwith gravy and jalapenos on it. Portion sizes aren't quite satisfying, which actually goes with the 1950's theme, which can begood or bad depending on who you are. If you're hungry, you might want to add a couple of sides and a malt. Unfortunately, thisplace frequently gets extremely crowded and loud, given its international fame from a TV feature. Read more
This place was cool! Found it in a search of best places to eat in Lafayette. Absolutely true! Definitely a staple of... Americana. Triple D filmed a spot here as well. The food was delicious? I would highly recommend the Drew Brees. The staffwas fun to talk to and you won't leave the place disappointed! Read more

Friendly staff, delicious Rootbeer, glad they added outdoor tents with tables to expand the seating since inside is so small.... Good portions of at a reasonable price. They have a good variety to pick from , including breakfast items. Plan sometime to waitas it?s a very popular place . Would recommend the sweet potato fries, tenderloin burgers , and the Drew Brees plate, and ofcourse the Rootbeer. Read more
