My husband and I had an amazing time at this hotel. It is pulled back enough form the city center to give you rolling hill... country views and quiet, but you can easily access town without using toll roads within 19-20 minutes. The staff is truly kindand will do whatever they can to make your stay special. We went for our wedding anniversary and my birthday. Rooms and decorwe and very elegant, and they recently finished a remodel. The spa was not open yet when we were there, but there is the spa, ample outdoor sitting spaces, clean updated gym, complementary bottle of wine and two water bottles, on site bar/coffee bar andrestaurant. Restaurant was overpriced in my opinion, so we drove to 4 minutes to Kirby Lane for breakfast in the mornings. Wegot a late checkout to enjoy more time sitting around the hotel. Definitely recommend for couples, singles, weddings, and olderadults. Not a good fit for kids though in my opinion. You can easily tip people using a QR code. Read more

First time to Austin, we wanted to stay on the west side of the city so we could be close to hill country and away from the... traffic - and the Granduca delivered! Recently renovated (like just reopened fully 2 days ago) the place is beautiful! We gotthe junior suite which was very spacious and homey. The pool is very private and surrounded by trees. The Laurel was so good wehad dinner there two nights in a row! But most importantly, the entire staff was very friendly and helpful - they went out oftheir way to make sure we had a good time. If we come back to Austin, which we will most likely in the spring for the flowers,we will definitely come back! Read more

Stayed during their remodel and it was a bit of a surprise. Nowhere on their website or emails about the trip mentioned it. The... ambiance was definitely affected. Their restaurant was set up in an outdoor tent (which was air-conditioned and decoratednicely), but once again, didn't feel like the elevated experience one would expect. We had two meals here: breakfast one day,and dinner another day. The breakfast server was great, but the dinner server was not knowledgeable about any of the offerings, and he was very slow to check on our table despite the place being nearly empty. Both meals tasted excellent, though. To get tothe pool, you had to walk through a floor under construction and dodge workers who were trying to get their jobs done. It feltawkward to be in their way. They would clean out buckets and other tools under a spigot right next to the pool, which, onceagain, made it seem way less nice than one expects from the Granduca. The stars of the show were the housekeeping staff. Theroom was immaculate every day, and the room's amenities were always refreshed (soaps, bottled water, coffee, etc). It was atreat to come into a freshly cleaned room each day. This trip was gifted to us by my in-laws, and I really hope they got areduced rate. This is one of their favorite hotels in Austin and they were definitely bummed by the experience. I know they'llbe back, but I think my husband and I will look for other options if we want an upscale hotel experience. Read more

Beautiful location. Relaxing, immaculate, and well stocked rooms. But i'd give 6 stars for the service, if I could. They are... truly lovely! The hotel is under renovation at the moment, but they're doing their best to keep noise and dust out of sight andout of mind. A relaxing and lovely place to stay. Read more

We decided to have a weekend getaway at a nice hotel for our 40 year anniversary. We decided to go to Austin for the weekend... since we haven't been in awhile... we also decided on the Granduca Hotel in Austin. We really liked the idea of the hotel viewsin the hills around Austin and still being close to town.... The hotel is beautiful! even while they were finishing up onrenovations at the time... the room we chose for the Anniversary Package was excellent, very large with fantastic hill countryviews all around! All hotel staff were fantastic..,. In particular the Front Desk staff ensured we had everything we needed andwere very responsive to any question or request we had during the stay. My only suggestion is to consider creating a few parking spots for mobility challenged on the hotel level....but this was definitely NOT a showstopper because the Valet are soattentive and so responsive! We did room service the first night and the food was excellent! ... We did the main restaurant forour Anniversary dinner and although the restaurant is under renovation we still felt like it was a special night ... the musicalperformer was excellent... the waitstaff were very customer focused and attentive.... we appreciated it. I recommend theGranduca Hotel Austin very much and will definitely come back for another stay. Read more
