Great potential, poor experience, bad leadership Majestic is a beautiful venue in the Historic Northwood Village; a quaint and... quiet area in West Palm Beach, not too far from downtown. The food is yummy, the patio is spacious and it?s a great place torelax and have a drink after work. Very talented bands play here as well. You could tell that the founders of the establishmentdesigned it with care and intention. There seems to have been a shift in leadership. The place is managed by a man who seem tohave little experience in the hospitality industry or as a manager of people. I can?t feel the culture here, even though thepictures on the wall seem to pay homage to Black culture and history. There are embarrassing typos in the menu. It?s a cigarlounge but there is no cigar menu and the humidor lighting doesn?t work. There is a minimal selection of pairings for the cigars(ex: scotch, bourbon, whiskey). The wine is cheap as well. Several menu items can be unavailable at any given time. At times, the bar isn?t stocked with simple things like club soda, tonic water, or even ginger ale. The restaurant remains empty forhours, even on the weekend. And guests are reluctant return. The manager does not take care of the staff and he seems to neglectthe venue?s primary function; to serve good food, serve good drinks, and create an ideal atmosphere for their target market, sophisticated and cultured individuals who enjoy cigars. He also neglects his primary job as a leader, to equip, support, andempower the staff. This place has great potential but unless there is new management, it is likely destined for failure. It isapparent that there are financial issues, but the current manager is so stubborn and prideful that he doesn?t even consider thefeedback of his employees or even his regular/loyal guests. Employee turnover is also high. I assume there aren?t many badreviews because this is a Black Owed business and people try not to bring them down. Instead, peopl Read more
