Had an okay visit here, not great. The interior is rather tired, service was uneven at best, charged for 2nd bread without... notifying, pasta was good but nowhere near great, limited beverage selection. There are much better Italian options on the NorthShore. Read more
Have been coming here off and on for years, my family has also frequented this venue since they opened their doors. In the past... I would have rated them a solid 4.5/5. I know there has been some BOH changes over the years. As of now I have to rate 3/5 forlack of consistentcy and flavor. The dishes we were served for a party of 5 tasted bland and some of the pastas tasted watery.Everytime I come I order the tagliolini frutti di mare. I was very let down by the lack of flavor the last couple times I hadit. A little seasoning goes a long way. The pasta noodles themselves are cooked properly Al dente. Appetizers were good still. I am absolutely appalled at the service. I have been a regular customer for years. I took my nephew for a nice dinner and my... halibut was raw which the waitress also admitted. When the manager phoned me today he told me not to get emotional. Never at anyother restaurant have I been treated so poorly. I will not be returning or recommending this restaurant again: Read more
Italian food done right, with a great wine selection. The food was delicious, but I wish the portion was a little more... generous. Service was friendly but on the slow side, that said the young helper was the star! Our water glasses were neverempty. My favorite dish by far was the squid. Read more
