Delicious veal parm w angel hair pasta
The Galleria is a never fail, always epic experience for old school Italian dining. There is no shortage of delicious menu items... and specials. We go here for most of our special events and weve been blown away by the service as well as the different fishdishes we've had over the years. The grilled calamari alone is worth the trip. I also really can't say enough about the amazingswordfish I had the last time I visited the galleria - I asked for it in a spicy red sauce and they delivered! The fish itselfwas fresh and tender and the sauce spicy and delcious. Go to the galleria the next time you are craving upscale Italian and youwon't be disappointed! Read more
Great, attentive service! Grilled calamari and chopped salad were tasty! My husband had the fruita de Mar (mixed seafood over... pasta) while I had the chicken with mushrooms which came with mashed potato and broccoli. My daughter and I decided to visit Galleria for dinner this past weekend based on the reviews of other diners. Upon entering,... we were greeted warmly and shown to a quiet table. We ordered our drinks and appetizer (fried calamari) right away. I askedfor a glass of chardonnay. I will assume it was the house chardonnay, but I do not know the maker. It had a harsh taste thatwas slightly sour. I did not mention this to the waiter, but I nursed the glass throughout the meal and was only able to drinkhalf the glass ($13.50/glass). When the waiter arrived with our appetizer he took our dinner order. I only realized later whenhearing him with other diners, that there was a specials' menu. My daughter ordered Rigatoni with a Vodka sauce and I orderedGnocchi with Veal Ragu. When our meals arrived, my gnocchi appeared to be swimming in a gelatinous tomato sauce. I can onlydescribe the texture as that which comes out of a condensed Campbell's tomato soup can, you know what I mean. There was notaste at all to the sauce and the veal bits were mealy. I was thoroughly disappointed with my dish. My daughter said her mealwas okay, but it was just rigatoni pasta in a vodka sauce, can't really mess that up. Fifteen minutes later, once the waitercame back and realized I did not care for my dinner, he offered to get me another meal. He was very insistent that I not leavethe restaurant hungry and said he would not charge me for the gnocchi. I did finally agree to get a basic chicken parmesandinner. When it arrived, it was fine but very basic tomato taste. Overall, the meal was just okay. The fried calamari wascrispy and had a nice taste, especially with just a little lemon juice - the marinara dipping sauce was too salty. The dinnerswere just not good.
