We were big fans and huge customers of tantardinos but after experiencing the new ownership a few times, the employees and... service is overall great but the owner has answered a few take out calls and put us on hold for well over 15 minutes with nowarning. When I kindly said, ?we didn?t realize we?d be put on hold for 20 minutes,? she said ?oh well were no longer takingorders? and hung the phone up. Never will we order from here again. We are passing by Lake Almanor on an RV trip and this place was recommended by a kind local resident. I tried multiple times to... make reservation using phone around 6pm but no one picked it up so we decided to drive 10 miles to try our luck. Upon arrival,the main hostess had the least courtesy and the most haste to find reasons not to seat us, including assuming that we tried tomake reservation online ("I don't do online," she said). Fine. I didn't want to argue, we just wanted dinner so I asked to makea reservation then. We had on intentionally chosen them seeing they have a patio with outdoor entrance so we could sit therewith our 9 month old pup. They had many tables available there but she refused to seat us now citing no pets allowed. Fairpoint. But the way our experience went, we left embittered and confused, with no avenue to call ahead, and with a hostess whowas not 'listening' mostly 'talking'. This is unfortunately a pattern I am seeing post COVID - hosts too busy to remember whythey are there in the first place: to care for their guests, not to flaunt their ego. The world needs a bit more kindness. Notso people like me can get unreasonably seated, but so we will understand each other without making assumptions. To the lady inquestion, I'd like to share Maya Angelou's famous quote that ends in "... I will never forget how you made me feel.". Stopped in after working on a job all day with my crew. Had friends Josh and Christa meeting us and they were slammed busy and... we had no reservation. Stacy still made room and let us all sit out on the patio! 8 of us!!!! Service was fantastic friendly andquick considering how busy they were!. The food and Margaritas were amazing!!! We ordered to go and had it ready when we arrived from a great day of adventuring. We ordered a cheese pizza and pepperoni which... both were delicious! My husband and I have always wanted to try this place and we're happy to have a reason on our way home. Weboth look forward to trying the pasta dishes the next time we have a visit. Read more
