First time getting any food there - BBQ meat was good. Pulled pork, pulled chicken and brisket. All three were tasty. Memphis... sauce is on the vinegar side if you like that. Unsure why they have online ordering system linked in to their site, but alwaysturned off? It Took a few phone calls on a Friday night to reach someone. Skip the cukes side. Need to try the slaw again toreview. Overall, good location for boat up or waterfront takeout. I'm not sure dine in would be good. Great ice cream, but you guys should require your patrons to wear masks before entering the small enclosure that is this... restaurant. You are creating an unnecessary risk for your employees and other patrons by not requiring the wearing of masks. Read more
June 11, 2020. This place has always had the worst service, so I ask myself "what were you expecting". We enjoy going there on... early afternoons to sit in the sun and have a bbq and drink occasionally. I thought maybe they would have taken the stateguidelines for reopening seriously. NOPE. Called ahead to make reservations - not taking any. Got there shortly after 5PM. They were not busy yet. No waitstaff is wearing masks or gloves. They changed their ordering process: you now order behindthe boat/bar from a wooden menu hanging above. The order is placed into a handheld device where you are required to sign withyour finger. It is not cleaned between customers. You are then handed a number to put at your table and along with plasticwear and a 1/4 sheet (select a size bounty paper towel - just one per person). Tables had left over dirty drink glasses onthem. Took forever to get our drink orders so I finally took the dirty dishes to the bar and set them on top of their dirtydish rack sitting on the bar next to a pail of dirty water and rag (right next to where the girls are taking the orders) that Iassume they clean the tables with. Waitress finally brings the drink order but did not clean the table. There was BBQ on thetable from previous customers. Order was brought out by another waitstaff who I assume is doing the order runs, she is notmasked or wearing gloves either. Had to flag down the waitress to get our drinks refilled. She took our glasses, refilled themand returned them to the table but I have no confidence that she gave each of us our original glass. Would have been nice toget extra napkins and have hand sanitizer available at the table or bar. Its bbq and messy. They didn't even have handsanitizer for their waitstaff.
