This is the second Cracker Barrel we have eaten at in the last couple of years and both experiences with the food were the same.... The food is average to below average. They offered broccoli cheese and rice casserole as a fall special with a higher charge. Mywife and I both had it and it was very disappointing as it was mostly breaded on top with very little to no broccoli or rice. Mywife told the waitress and she said that yes it did come out that way sometimes depending on who was cooking. Very sad, which isbasically how I would describe the food at cracker Barrell. It used to be so good many years ago. This franchise needs a newmakeover on how to prepare food. Everything tasted like it was old and had been sitting in a warmer for a long time. We don'tsee ourselves going back to any cracker Barrell anytime soon. This was once a great American restaurant. I gave 2 stars becausethe service and cashier at checkout were good. Read more
10 minute wait to be seated for breakfast. Not bad. Took to a table in a timely manner. Once seated it took 10 minutes to order... drinks. We went ahead and ordered our food at the same time. Once we ordered, we waited patiently and noticed people around uswho were seated after got there food. Our waitress came by and brought our sons cereal. My wife?s food came out 5 minutes after.My wife was able to finish her breakfast before my food was ever brought out. The waitress said she didn?t want my food to becold, so I?m trying to understand how it could be cold if it just came up. This lead me to believe our food had been ready for awhile just sitting there. Once my food came, I asked for my biscuits to go with it, they never came so I just ate the one mywife didn?t want. For refills she came and took my wife?s cup and straw, then forgot to bring it out until I asked for thecheck. I?m just glad my 5 month old is breastfed so he atleast got to eat in a timely manner. Everyone else was being served ina timely and efficient manner. The employee who I assume is the manager, just stood with the table washer and talked. She nevermoved or asked anyone how their food was. Needless to say I will not be visiting this Cracker Barrel anytime soon. I loveCracker Barrel food and visit them often. Waited a few minutes for our table. Food was hot, took a long time like over 30 minutes. Waitress came to our table 2x saying... our food is coming. We ordered two orders of chicken with dumplings, a childs hamburger, and an order of fried chicken. I had toask the waitress if there was any chicken in my order because all I could see was dumplings. It was good, as always, and onlythree pices of chicken. The fried chicken was good too. I thought this would be a great place to eat on my excursion to Mr. Airy with the grandkids. The wait for the five of us wasn't... very long. I appreciated that. When we were seated at our table was a lot of trash under the table which no one bothered to getup. When my received my food the it was cold. Eggs, hash brown casserole and my pancakes. I mentioned this to the waitress. Shesaid your food literally just came out. There was no way that was true. She offered to take it back and bring something else. Ideclined. I told her I would just eat it. I am concerned this time and season that sending good back might be detrimental to myhealth. I never know about what sets people off in this time we ate living in. We went tonight , now before I begin I would like to say out of all the times we have been to cracker barrel, we have never had... a bad experience until tonight . Started off by the first two beverages my husband ordered they were out of.. next was I orderedsouthern fried chicken my husband ordered the turkey with country gravy special. And fried pickles as appetizer... Afterordering about 20 min later sever comes out and says they were out of southern fried chicken so then (bumbed) I said ok I'llorder chicken and dumplings my sides were baked sweet potato with glazed marshmallows and pintos another 20 mins goes by shebrings us our food my husbands food was fried turkey with beef gravy on it ..lol he doesn't eat beef which is why he orderedturkey with country gravy. Then my sweet potato had no marshmallows or glaze on it .. we waited for another 15 mins for serverto come back ( didn't touch our food) for her to bring us our appetizer lol and we just said I'm sorry but I don't think myhusband got what he ordered and she rolled her eyes at us and said that's how it's always been served.. I said, well we ordered something totally different and she walked away from us. So me and my husband looked at each other kindly got up told the frontabout the issue and went to golden corral.. server was very rude... I don't know if she was having a bad night but wow.... I'mnot paying or eating something I didn't order... I had pic but it won't let me post very poor service.... Smh Read more
