Only take out at this place. First time here. Fish was good. Chips I thought were something that you can buy frozen as they were all uniform size and shape however there were a few which were odd shaped and size. Gravy was tasty but was not keen on the coleslaw. It had a very different taste. Price wise it was on par with other places. Service was a bit slow even though we called ahead but there was only one person and a trainee so I can understand. Not sure if I'll be going again. They need to have mushy peas

Very good fish and chips. Fast service, takeout only. Batter is good, not overfried. Family combo is a great deal

Amazing service and food. Not to mention the owner Shahin is very sweet. Gem of a restaurant. Best fish n shops in white rock on both east and west beach. Also amazing burgers ans FRESH cut fries which are also nice and crispy! Tartar sauce is so good. One of the best I?ve tried. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

As authentic as London? fish and chips! The tartare sauce was really good. It was a great way to end the day and have a snack before returning home. I like that there were tables available nearby and it?s just in front of the beach. Will definitely go back for some fish and chips. Don?t forget to ask for salt for the fries!

My wife and I stopped by The Fishboat yesterday afternoon . We thought we would give this place a try as the advertising outside looked encouraging especially the authentic English fish and chips claim. We ordered take out. What we got was anything but advertised. I ordered a fish burger that was a mushy, sloppy mess that contained almost no fish mostly batter and my wife who ordered fish and chips got a small thin piece of fish not generous at all as advertised. The chips were cold, overdone and greasy. We won't be back.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful lunch with courteous and fast service, even though it was clear that the shop was busy - which is always a good sign! - and the chef/hostess was responsible for all manner of things, and nearly entirely on her own. Delicious dishes all, and we loved the fried pickles!

Low key restaurant that blends into the sea side streets of White Rock. Has a nice view of the waters from the street side tables. Food was between average-good. Ingredients are fresh, but lacks uniqueness when compared to other seafood restaurants in the strip. We had the Captain's Platter and Fish Tacos which had generous portions. Unfortunately, they ran out of mangoes for the fish tacos which they told us about soon after ordering. We'll try this place again given their reasonable prices and quality food.
White Rock has lots of great places to eat, but none better than Fishboat Restaurant. Call (604) 837-8976 to make reservations and ask about our appetizing salads too.
