My husband and had dinner here on our honeymoon. The patio seating had a beautiful view overlooking the lake. We were impressed... as soon as we walked in as the lobby is gorgeous. The elk meatballs were delicious!! And McKenzie, our server, was the best! Shemade our experience special. Read more
My family of 6 went here for dinner and I really want to love this restaurant but it just was that good. We ordered calamari... and a charcuterie board as apps and then placed our dinner order. The apps were excellent. The calamari was hot andcrispy. Everything after the app wasn’t good. First of all the food took forever to come out and was cold when we got it soit probably sat there for 10 minutes before it was served. My elk tenderloin had nice flavor but was over cooked. I didn’treturn it because I didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes while everyone else was done. The service was slow. We were goingto order desserts but it took too long to get a menu when we did we got one menu for the six of us so we just got our check andpaid. The best part of the meal was the calamari. Read more
This place is amazing. Our table was next to the window over looking the lake. The lobby is comfy with a fireplace and a hugh... bear. There was 5 of us so we tried everything! The elk, bison, lamb, trout and even the pumpkin curry noodles. They all wereexcellent, as were the desserts we stuffed ourselves with. Lovely. We saw it advertised as the only restaurant in town with a lake view so we thought we'd check it out. Valet parking,... great views, crackling fires everywhere, and delicious food. It's not for those looking to save money, but you do get what youpay for. Read more

We had booked this place as our anniversary dinner based on the fact that it's on Whitefish Lake and we'd have a good... view. First, the good part. - Maria, our server, was fantastic. She's the primary reason that pulled the rating up to a 2 -Food was good - Ambience was good, the view was ok - Free valet parking Now for the ugly. - The hostess at the restaurant is anuptight, rude, and probably racist, woman named Christine. We had reservations for 5 pm for dinner. We arrived at 4:45 pm.Without even a smile or any greeting she proceeded to lecture us that we're early (we acknowledged that) and they wouldn't beable to serve us till 5 pm. But she would see if she could seat us and get water on the table. We were fine with it. Shedisappeared and we waited in the lobby. Christine didn't come back until 5. I commented that since the restaurant was not evenclose to being a third full, we shouldn't have a problem in getting a window table. You know, with a view of the lake that mademe select this place in the first place. She then again started with her condescension that all the tables are "reserved". Shetook us to probably the worst table in the restaurant - away from any windows and by a wall. Her ultimatum was this was the onlytable that we could have or we were welcome to leave. I was livid at this point but there was no way we were going to get a spotat any other good restaurant without major delays! I bit down on my pride and stayed. Again, Maria really tried to make up forChristine's behavior and made our meal memorable. The first picture is at 5 pm with literally no other dinners in one in ourzone.
