Found this place completely by chance and what a fabulous find it was! Best fish and chips I've had in years. Light, crisp... batter and a house made tartar sauce that was a welcome change. Others in my party sampled the jerk chicken and jerk burger withstellar success. Everyone said it was one of the best meals they'd had. Read more
Had a very mediocre lunch at Lucille's today. We were the only people there when we arrived.(one party checking out) The food... still took 35 minutes to arrive (one hamburger & one boasted chicken order).The fries tasted like they where cooked in the sameoil as the chicken. The chicken came with a side dish of jerk (?) sauce as well as a small smattering of romaine with nodressing, I assume to simply fill the plate. The chicken was greasy but my son did say that his burger was good (despite thefunny tasting fries). The waitress did not bother to check & ask if our meal was okay. The food was delicious. We ordered the chicken roti, fish and chips, wings and summer salad. French fries were really good! The... patio is nice but inside dinning is less then ideal. I think renovations are in the works. Kitchen closes at 8pm. Read more
Pretty decent food, fries were really crispy, good seasoning. Burger was kinda small. Overall pricey for the portion size. The... service was pretty mediocre. She got the order next to our table wrong. She didn't really ask what we wanted to eat. Took mydad's order then started to walk away before I ordered mine. This was by far one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. Our waitress, who was in no hurry to assist any of... the diners, eventually got to our table handed us menus and asked us if this was separate checks or together. Separate we said.She takes our drink orders and shows up 15 minutes later with a beer with the top still on (not a twist off), no glass and adiet coke...again no glass, no ice. Had to wait another 5 minutes for her to bring a bottle opener. Already I'm miffed. Weboth ordered the frying pan nachos with chicken. After waiting an excruciatingly long time for our order, she brings my nachosfirst and my friends order about 5 minutes later. The nachos were awful. $16.99 for nacho chips, processed cheese, dicedtomatoes, onions and yellow bell peppers, no spices, not seasoned....and no chicken. When I asked where is the chicken, sheclearly forgot to add chicken to the order. She said I'll be right back and I'll bring you chicken for your nachos. She nevercame back to our table. My beer was empty...she never asked if I wanted another, she never asked if I wanted water. Twice weasked for the bill and she ignored us. Finally I got her attention and asked for the bill yet again and she tells us to goinside to the counter. Wth kind of system is this? The guy at the register had 12 bills in front of him asking what I had andof course he can't find it because the waitress put everything on one bill. The food was awful and overpriced, the atmospherewas okay, but the service was literally the worst I've ever experienced. This woman should not be working in the serviceindustry. She clearly dislikes her job and puts no effort into her work to ensure her customers are looked after. Will neverreturn to Lucilles. Read more
