The best bread and bakery goods in all of Wilmington love the store and customer service is excellent.
My experience at this place was really good ????. The items I purchased were fresh and delicious ????, customer service was... super nice and knowledgeable, from fresh bread, pastries, honey, coffee and cookies ???? ????, the store was clean andorganized and I noticed that you can donate children's books and also take one as well..that's sweet ? Their sourdough loaf is so much better than supermarket sourdough. I wish they sold a multi grain version with nuts or seeds.
I hate to disagree with all the great reviews but I?ve tried the Breadsmith several times and find that their bread has no... flavor. I?m from New York and their bread nowhere compares with what I know to be good tasting bread. Not sure if maybe they?renot using enough salt or not enough proofing. The sourdough I tried had none of the sour twang I?m used to in sourdough. I got aFrench loaf recently and no bread flavor at all. Put some in the toaster for several minutes and it never turned golden. I havefound more flavorful and crusty bread at Lidl?s. But my hunt for delicious bread here in NC continues. Oh but I did get asample of their almond poppy seed pound cake - delicious! Read more

Decided to give it a go after checking the reviews here and got disappointed. Got two baguettes and ciabatta. The texture is... very rubbery and the breads are cold and didn?t look fresh. Ciabatta has salt on the top and is terribly salty, couldn?t finishit. Made the mistake to eat the baguette next day and it was so hard that not even heating it helped. Didn?t like the flavoreither.
