Let's face it, not many options to eat dinner in Wilmington VT but this place looked great and reviews were excellent so we... were excited! Overall, it just fell short on both service and quality. First, menu is pretty limited, uninspiring and a bit allover the place. My daughter had a burger, my son had the schnitzel, my husband had the mushroom dish and I had a crepe. We alsohad a salad as appetizers and fried apples for dessert. Food was basic, nothing super interesting or noteworthy except thesalad. Service is SLOW!!! It took an hour and twenty minutes before our ordered entrees came. Then my husband ordered the friedapples (1 order) while we were finishing our entrees and that took another 45 min basically for 3 small apple rings to be fried.Do not recommend this dish. My kids ordered sodas and ordered refills and we were charged for refills - $4 each even though itwas more ice than soda! I later asked about this and was told they don't do free refills. No issue but given the super long waitand that they didn't share this ahead of time I thought it was pretty lousy . The place is cute but felt very crowded in withtables very very close to each other. Overall it was a 3. Read more

Wow!!! Went out to dinner last night. Yes yes we all know nothing same old food, but wait!! I went to Alpenglow. Walking in... great decor and lovely little dining area. Being from Belgium I said it?s time to try this place. Every course out of the park!First their charcuterie board was a slab of heaven!!nothing was spared and I do love one when done proper. Second the roastedcarrot parsnip bisque was a phenomenal. You can taste each ingredient just WOW!! Then on to the Trout well just phenomenal lightand airy but oh so tastey!! Finished off with the Apple rings that come with a Carmel dipping sauce!! As for the wine list wechoose Barbaresco! So all in all one of my top meals around here. A must go!! ??? The staff is what makes a place and they havea great staff. The bar tender made the evening thank you Jeff Read more

Excellent, but unpretentious, fine dining experience in the quaint, charming location of Wilmington. The sample of chilled... asparagus bisque was out of this world, and the service was impeccable. Thank you! Read more

Delightful restaurant! We came here on a date night during a weekend trip to Vermont and could not have been more satisfied with... our experience. Staff was friendly, atmosphere was cozy and intimate, food was delicious. The beet salad was not too heavy whilebeing flavorful, making it the perfect appetizer for fondue. We were also brought a sampler crepe courtesy of the chef. Read more
