The restaurant is located inside the bar called Savage's Hill Country Bar, you order from a register in the back corner of the... bar pay then find a seat. I had their steak, I asked for it medium rare and it came out medium well and it had no flavor, it waslike they didn't season it at all but fortunately A1 helped; I don't recommend it. We couldn?t find anywhere open while visiting Wimberly for a bachelorette trip. Someone recommended we go here because it is... inside a bar and still open. When we got there Sam (the cook) told us it was 3 minutes till closing but he was going to stay andcook us what we wanted! He was genuinely so sweet and obviously stayed late to cook our food. The FOOD was amazing! I got theblack bean avocado tacos and added chicken and they were SO good! My friends got burgers that I was jealous of till I saw mytacos! I few got steaks that had the best mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese! 10/10 will go back next time we are in the area! Read more
Let me first say that the food was great! Service was also great! Okay, so I found this place and when we got there and walked... in, my husband was actually considering leaving and finding something else. We actually went there to celebrate our 19thwedding anniversary, and even though we looked it up, it's not exactly what we were expecting. In case you didn't know, it islocated inside a bar called Savages. You walk up to the counter and order your food, and then find a table and they bring itout to you. It's fine, just not what we were expecting. After we placed our order, we stopped at the bar and ordered a coupledrinks while waiting for our food. When the waitress/counter clerk brought our food out, just one bite and we were sold. Myhusband got the Monte Wimbo and loved it! I tried a bite and yum! It's like a turkey sandwich in a funnel cake, lol. It wasreally good! I got the Gouda, Apple, Bacon. Not something I would normally get, but I was on vacation and wanted to trysomething different. I would definitely get it again! It was so good! I was stuffed halfway through but refused to waste it,so I kept eating, lol. And their fries, perfect! Triforks deserves their own space because it is that good. The bartender atSavages was nice, but it was still a bar and it was kinda dirty looking and had a funny smell that hit you as soon as you walkedin.
